| The Remote LAN Module (RLM) is a remote management card that is an available option for some NetApp systems. It provides remote platform management capabilities, including remote access, monitoring, troubleshooting, logging and alerting features. RLM firmware downloads provide updates for systems that use the RLM. Note: NetCache appliances that use this module can only update the firmware by means of the RLM command line interface (CLI). NetApp storage appliances that use Data ONTAP™ software can update the firmware by means of the Data ONTAP CLI or the RLM CLI. Note: Do not use telnet or rsh sessions to Data ONTAP to update RLM firmware. |
